Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

1. Basic policy

XenoSpectrum ("this site") respects the privacy of its users and is committed to the appropriate handling of personal information. This policy explains what information this site collects and how it is used.

2. Information we collect

This site may collect the following information.

  • Access logs (IP address, browser type, referrer URL, pages viewed, and access times)
  • Content submitted through the contact form (name, email address, and inquiry content)
  • Account information (email address, name, profile picture, and Google account ID obtained via Google sign-in. See Section 5 for details.)
  • Payment and contract information (for Supporter sign-ups. Card information is processed by Stripe and is not retained by this site. See Section 6 for details.)
  • Site usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies

3. Analytics (Google Analytics)

This site uses "Google Analytics 4," an access analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect and analyze information about site usage. The data collected is anonymized and does not identify individuals.

To disable data collection by Google Analytics, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. For Google's privacy policy, see here.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site uses "Google AdSense," an advertising service provided by Google LLC. Google AdSense uses cookies to display advertising based on users' interests.

To disable cookies used for advertising, you can use Google Ad Settings.

5. Account & login (Sign in with Google)

To use XenoSpectrum Supporters (paid plans), you sign in with your Google account (OAuth 2.0). When you sign in, this site obtains the following information from Google and uses it to create your account, authenticate you, and provide benefits.

  • Email address
  • Name (your Google account display name)
  • Profile picture URL
  • Google account identifier (user ID)

This site never obtains or stores your Google password. This information is stored on this site's authentication and billing platform. Google's privacy policy is available here.

6. Payment (Stripe)

Payments for Supporters (paid plans) and one-off support gifts are processed using "Stripe," a payment service provided by Stripe, Inc. Credit card information and similar payment details are processed directly by Stripe, and this site never obtains or stores your card information. This site retains only the information necessary to provide benefits and manage the contract, such as the Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing history.

Stripe's privacy policy is available here.

7. Third-party services

This site uses the following third-party services. Please also review each service's privacy policy.

8. Cookie management & consent

The cookies used by this site include "essential cookies," which are required for the site's basic functions, and "analytics/advertising cookies," which are used for access analytics and ad delivery. xs_member and xs_auth (used for Supporter authentication and membership status) are essential cookies and are not subject to consent management.

For visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies (used by Google Analytics and Google AdSense) are disabled by default until consent is given (Google Consent Mode v2).

If a consent banner is shown to you, your choice there will be applied. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Privacy & cookie settings" button below (this button is shown only in environments where a consent management banner is active).

As general supplementary information, you can also disable or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that this method may not reliably clear consent records held by the consent management banner, and it may cause some features — such as staying signed in — to stop working correctly.

9. Handling, storage, and deletion of personal information

Personal information provided through the contact form or account registration is used only for responding to inquiries, authenticating your account, and providing benefits and contract management. We will not provide this information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

Account information is retained for as long as necessary to manage your Supporter contract. If you wish to delete your account or request disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of your personal data, please contact us via our contact page. We will respond promptly after verifying your identity.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised as necessary. The revised policy takes effect once posted on this page.
