XenoSpectrum is an independent media outlet whose mission is to report accurately and clearly on the latest developments in science and technology — including AI, semiconductors, space exploration, quantum computing, and energy. This page explains our editorial structure, how we handle information, and our policy on the use of AI technology.

Editorial structure and responsibility

Every article published on this site is reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication. Final responsibility for the decision to publish and for the content of each article rests with our editor-in-chief, Y. Kobayashi.

Our use of AI technology

We use generative AI in parts of our article production process. Its main uses are assisting with research into overseas primary sources, translation and summarization, and drafting article text.

However, we never publish AI-generated text as-is. Every article is fact-checked, verified, and revised by an editor before publication. AI is only a tool that supports our editorial process — decisions about what to report and how to report it are always made by a human editor.

Sourcing and fact-checking

When writing articles, we prioritize primary sources such as peer-reviewed papers, official announcements from research institutions and companies, and materials from government and public bodies. Wherever possible, we link directly to our sources within articles so readers can consult the original material.

We do not report unconfirmed information or speculation as fact. Where uncertainty remains, we state this explicitly in the article.

Corrections and updates

We strive for accuracy, but if an error is found, we correct it promptly. If a correction materially affects the content of an article, we note within the article that a correction has been made and describe what changed. Independence and advertising

This site is funded through advertising revenue, but advertisers have no involvement in our editorial content. We keep advertising and editorial content clearly separated. Where an article includes a sponsored placement or affiliate links, we disclose this within the article.
