XenoSpectrum is an independent media outlet whose mission is to report accurately and clearly on the latest developments in science and technology — including AI, semiconductors, space exploration, quantum computing, and energy. This page explains our editorial structure, how we handle information, and our policy on the use of AI technology.

Editorial structure and responsibility

XenoSpectrum is operated solely by Y. Kobayashi. Every article published on this site is reviewed and edited by the operator before publication. As the site's operator and editor-in-chief, Y. Kobayashi makes the final publication decision and assumes ultimate responsibility for the content of every article.

Our use of AI technology

We use generative AI in parts of our article production process. Its main uses are assisting with research into overseas primary sources, translation and summarization, and drafting article text.

However, we never publish AI-generated text as-is. Before publication, the operator checks the facts, verifies the content, and contributes original writing or revisions as needed. AI is only a tool that supports our editorial process — the operator makes the final decisions about what to report, how to report it, and whether to publish.

Sourcing and fact-checking

When producing articles, we prioritize primary sources wherever possible, including peer-reviewed papers, official announcements from research institutions and companies, and materials from government and public bodies. We also consult reliable news reporting when appropriate. We provide links to sources within articles whenever possible so readers can consult the original material.

We do not report unconfirmed information or speculation as fact. Where uncertainty remains, we state this explicitly in the article.

Corrections and updates

We strive for accuracy, but if an error is found, we correct it promptly. If a correction materially affects the content of an article, we note within the article that a correction has been made and describe what changed.
