Gravity Reactor

The Gravity Reactor is a novel small modular reactor design placed approximately one mile underground. By utilizing the weight of a 1.6km water column to create the 160 atmospheres of pressure required for a pressurized water reactor (PWR), it eliminates the need for massive steel pressure vessels. The surrounding rock serves as a natural containment structure, significantly reducing construction costs and improving security against surface threats.
