In Japan, converting the currency and comparing against Pixel 10's capacity-based pricing offers a more concrete read on the scale of the price increase.
What's Behind the Uniform $100 Increase Across All Four Models
The Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL, which Google announced in 2025, started at $799, $999, and $1,199 respectively. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold was also sold starting at $1,799 on the Google Store. If the leak is accurate, all four models in the Pixel 11 generation would see a uniform $100 increase.

Although there are discrepancies in the specs, the starting prices and the shift to 256GB align with the July information.
The Standard Model May Lose Its 5x Telephoto Camera
The Pixel 10 was the first standard model to feature a 10.8MP 5x telephoto camera, supporting up to 20x Super Res Zoom. However, according to the specs Android Headlines obtained, the Pixel 11's rear camera reportedly reverts to a dual-camera setup with a 48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide, dropping the telephoto lens. While the maximum zoom figure is said to extend to 30x, if this comes at the cost of losing the optical system, a higher number alone wouldn't necessarily mean better long-distance image quality.
Other specs appear to be minor changes. The display specs—6.3 inches, 2,424×1,080, 60-120Hz, peak brightness of 3,000 nits—are unchanged from the Pixel 10. The battery reportedly increases slightly from 4,970mAh to 4,985mAh, a gain of 15mAh or about 0.3%. If the reported weight of 197g is accurate, that would be 7g lighter than the Pixel 10's 204g, though the dimensions of 152.8×72×8.6mm remain the same.
That said, the evidence for treating the dual-camera switch as a settled fact is thin. The July Amazon product page listed the standard model with a 13MP front camera and a weight of 204g, while this latest report states 10.5MP and 197g. If RAM Is 12GB, the Pro's Entry Point Gets Redesigned Too
According to Google's official specs, the Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold all ship with 16GB of RAM across every model. The new report lists both 12GB and 16GB for all four Pixel 11 models, but doesn't clarify which capacity pairs with which RAM configuration. A July article based on the Amazon product page stated that the 256GB Pro and Pro XL would come with 12GB RAM, with higher storage tiers getting 16GB. If that's accurate, the $1,099 compact Pro would cost $100 more than its predecessor while having 4GB less RAM.
Information is similarly split for the standard model. Android Headlines listed both 12GB and 16GB, while the Amazon-based report claimed both the 256GB and 512GB versions would come with 12GB. Furthermore, while the Amazon-based report listed a 1TB option for the Pixel 11 Pro, this latest spec sheet only lists 256GB and 512GB. The pairing of capacity and RAM has yet to be settled.
For the Pro-series cameras, looking purely at megapixel counts, the setup—50MP wide, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP 5x telephoto—matches the Pixel 10 Pro. While the maximum zoom extends from 100x to 120x, the "optical equivalent" magnification remains unchanged. The wide-angle side covers 0.5x, 1x, and 2x, while the telephoto side covers 5x and 10x. Without knowing the sensor model numbers, dimensions, lens specs, or image stabilization, we can't treat the 120x ceiling as evidence of improved optical performance. One change that does read as confirmed: peak brightness for the Pro and Pro XL rises from 3,300 nits to 3,600 nits, about a 9% increase.
Can 2nm Compensate for a Smaller Battery?
The reported battery capacities decrease across three of the four models, excluding the standard version. The Pixel 11 Pro is listed at 4,850mAh, down 20mAh from its predecessor, while the Pro XL comes in at 5,115mAh, down 85mAh. The Fold shrinks from 5,015mAh to 4,806mAh, a drop of 209mAh, or about 4.2%.
For the Fold, thinner dimensions and a smaller battery go hand in hand. The folded thickness is said to shrink from 10.8mm to 10.1mm, and the unfolded thickness from 5.2mm to 5.0mm, while weight drops from 258g to 239g, a decrease of 19g, or about 7.4%. While we can't definitively say the smaller battery is the cause of the weight reduction, a design that prioritizes thinness and lightness appears alongside the reduced battery capacity.
A smaller battery capacity doesn't automatically translate into shorter usage time. Economic Daily News reported that the Tensor G6 will be manufactured using TSMC's N2 process. Mystic Leaks reported a configuration combining one C1-Ultra core with six C1-Pro cores, paired with a MediaTek M90 modem. So far, Google has only confirmed that the Tensor G5 was designed on TSMC's 3nm process. If the G6 uses N2, it would mark the second generation since the move to TSMC.
TSMC states that N2 can reduce power consumption by 25-30% compared to N3E at the same speed. Arm also claims that, in its baseline C1 CPU configuration, everyday workload power consumption drops by an average of 12%, and that the C1-Pro delivers up to 12% better efficiency at the same performance as the Cortex-A725. MediaTek has stated that the M90's average power consumption is reduced by up to 18% compared to the previous-generation modem.
All of these are conditional figures measured at the component level, and none of them guarantee battery life for the Pixel 11. The actual outcome will depend on which operating frequencies and power budgets Google chooses, and how it manages the display and radios. This is especially true for the Fold, whose capacity drops by 4.2%—the value of its weight reduction versus real-world usage time will need to be compared once the retail device is available.

Since the leaked Pixel 11 price is also $899 for 256GB, the US price for that capacity is unchanged. Similarly, the 256GB Pixel 10 Pro was $1,099 in the US and ¥174,900 in Japan—identical to the leaked Pixel 11 Pro price. While the entry price for the standard model and Pro rises by $100, in Japan too, comparing the same 256GB capacity suggests pricing could stay close to flat.
The Pro XL and Fold, on the other hand, see a $100 increase at the same 256GB capacity. Applying the rate of US price increase to the Japanese price of the Pixel 10 yields approximately ¥208,988 for the Pro XL and approximately ¥282,369 for the Fold. The Pro XL figure closely matches the simple conversion at ¥160.64/USD of approximately ¥208,671. For the Fold, the simple conversion rises to approximately ¥305,055, creating a gap of about ¥22,700 between the two methods.
This kind of gap already existed in the Pixel 10 generation. The move toward making 256GB the standard isn't unique to Pixel. Apple doubled the iPhone 17's starting capacity from 128GB to 256GB while keeping the US price flat at $799. Samsung's US-market Galaxy S26 starts at $899.99 for 256GB. The leaked Pixel 11 lands in roughly the same price tier as the Galaxy S26, and $100 higher than the iPhone 17.
For purchasing decisions, the key question becomes whether the Tensor G6 and Google's AI features justify the price gap. If the $899 standard model loses its 5x telephoto camera, that's a clear step backward for anyone upgrading from the Pixel 10.
