64 results for “quantum”
USA Rare Earth, Pasqal and Riven Systems plan to use quantum machine learning to find new rare earth extractants. We look at the hundreds of solvent-extraction stages, prior classical AI results, and the three tests a quantum model must pass.
A team at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology detected an unusual 71-terahertz spectroscopic signal in intact mitochondria and posted the findings on the unreviewed preprint server bioRxiv. The researchers propose that a polariton state—formed by coupling between light and molecular vibrations—altered ATP production, but direct observation of the quantum state and independent replication remain outstanding challenges.
A close look at NVIDIA's CUDA-Q Logical based on its papers and official documentation. Examining what the P0–P4 stages, the four-tier resource estimates, QUOPS, and the 150,000-qubit figure mean—and where their limits lie.
Researchers at Zhejiang University, Tsinghua University and others ran proof operations for a square theorem and a 1978 International Mathematical Olympiad problem on a superconducting quantum circuit. We trace how the work was split with classical computing, what the experiment shows, and what remains unproven about quantum advantage.
A Chinese research team has demonstrated parallel quantum teleportation using 100 spatial modes on an optical bench. The experiment recorded an average fidelity of 0.60, surpassing the classical limit of 0.52, and points toward the feasibility of a high-capacity interface built on all-optical feedforward.
Fujitsu's newly released OpenQARP v0.1.0 separates quantum circuits, measurement targets, and execution engines, making research algorithms reusable across environments. Drawing on public materials, this piece examines what the design means and the limits of evidence so far—no results yet confirm quantum advantage or outside-developer adoption.
Fujitsu unveiled a single-module quantum prototype that integrates tin-vacancy (SnV) centers into a photonic circuit. This article separates the 2027 optical-connection goal from the 2035 fiscal-year target to clarify where the technology stands and what performance data remain undisclosed.
IonQ's 256-qubit Superion 256 links electronic control with semiconductor fabrication. Beyond QPU manufacturing and ion trapping, questions remain about integrated performance, yield, and customer delivery.
Germany's Forschungszentrum Jülich and startup eleQtron have activated JION, an ion-trap quantum computer controlled entirely by microwaves. The system is now fully integrated with Europe's leading HPC infrastructure for hybrid computing operations.
A Quantinuum research team used an ion-trap quantum computer to surpass a mathematically proven upper bound on classical computation. Using complement sampling, which does not rely on unproven computational complexity assumptions, the team opened a new path toward efficient and rigorous verification of hardware's non-classical behavior.
