The Gravity Recovery And Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) was a NASA lunar science mission in the Discovery Program which used high-quality gravitational field mapping of the Moon to determine its interior structure. Launched in 2011, the mission consisted of two small spacecraft, Ebb and Flow, which used precision distance measurements to create a detailed map of lunar gravity.
