Trinitron

Trinitron was Sony's brand name for its line of aperture-grille based CRTs used in television sets and computer monitors. One of the most successful television systems in history, it was known for its bright, high-contrast images and vertically flat screens. The technology was a cornerstone of Sony's global dominance in the television market from the late 1960s until the transition to flat-panel displays in the early 2000s.
