Mirai

Mirai is a malware that targets online consumer devices such as IP cameras and home routers. It turns these devices into remotely controlled bots that can be used as part of a botnet in large-scale network attacks, particularly DDoS attacks. The source code for Mirai was published in 2016, leading to numerous variants and adaptations by different threat actors.
