
Freeze the Operation in Spacetime: The Historic Moment a University of Tokyo Team Proved 'Quantum Memory Beats Classical Memory'
A research team at the University of Tokyo has proven that, in the technical challenge of storing and retrieving unknown quantum operations, quantum memory mathematically surpasses classical memory. For isometry operations in which the dimension of information increases or decreases, the team showed that while classical strategies remain bound by the standard quantum limit, quantum strategies exploiting entanglement can store operations with far greater efficiency—opening a new frontier in quantum information science.
