The demand for reconfigurable millimetre-wave (mm-Wave) components based on highly anisotropic liquid crystals (LC) is higher than ever before for the UK and worldwide. In this work, 60 GHz investigation on a bespoke shielded coplanar waveguide (SCPW) phase shifter structure filled with 16 types of microwave-enabled nematic LCs respectively indicates that the patterns of the device’s figure-of-merit (FoM, defined as the ratio of maximum differential phase shift to maximum insertion loss) reshuffle from those of the characterised LC materials’ FoM (defined as the ratio of tunability to maximum dissipation factor). To be more specific, GT7-29001- and MDA-03-2838-based phase shifters exhibit the highest FoM for devices, outperforming phase shifters based on GT5-28004 and TUD-566 with the highest FoM for materials. Such a mismatch between the device’s FoM and LC’s FoM implies a nonlinearly perturbed wave-occupied volume ratio effect. Furthermore, the relationship between insertion loss and the effective delay line length is nonlinear, as evidenced by measurement results of two phase shifters (0–π and 0–2π, respectively). Such nonlinearities complicate the established FoM metrics and potentially lead to a renewed interest in the selection and material synthesis of LCs to optimise reconfigurable mmWave devices, and promote their technological exploitation in phased array systems targeting demanding applications such as inter-satellite links and satellite internet.
ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of crowd-figure-pictograms on women’s numeric knowledge about mammography screening in a three-armed parallel randomised controlled trial.Results552 women were randomised to receive (1) non-numeric information (n = 192), (2) non-numeric and numeric information (n = 186), or (3) non-numeric and numeric information complemented by crowd-figure-pictograms (n = 174). Baseline numeric knowledge was low (control 0.61, numeric 0.66, and pictogram 0.51 on a scale ranging from 0 to 5). Women in the crowd-figure-pictogram group had a larger knowledge increase than women in the numeric group (2.42 vs 2.06, p = .03). Both groups had significant increases in knowledge compared to the control (0.20, p < .001). Providing numeric information in absolute numbers improves knowledge; even more so when crowd-figure-pictograms are added.Trial registration German Clinical Trials Register DRKS00014736, retrospectively registered 11 May 2018

ABSTRAK Indonesia merupakan negara dengan kasus demam berdarah tinggi , hal ini disebabkan kondisi iklim tropis yang ideal untuk perkembangan nyamuk demam berdarah. Permasalahan dalam pengabdian ini bagaimana menekan tingginya kasus DBD. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk melihat kepadatan jentik House Index, Container Indeks, dan Breteau index. Metode pengabdian adalah survey dan observasi . Hasil : RT 01 : House Index 44,4 %, Container Index 24,6% ,RT 02 : House Index 22,2 %, Container Index 18,4 %, RT 04 : House Index 14,4 %, Container Index 29,7 % , RT 05 : House Index 22,7 % ,Container Index 2,5 % Breteau Index RW 03 Density Figure 6, dengan nilai sebesar 69,4% dapat dikatagorikan kepadatan tinggi. Hasil mapping dapat diinterpretasikan keberadaan jentik di container di wilayah barat dan utara RW.03 dapat menjadi risiko berkembangbiak jentik menjadi nyamuk dewasa yang dapat menularkan virus tular vector . Wilayah sekitar yang menjadi risiko penularan penyakit tular vector dari wilayah barat ke timur meliputi RW. 10, 02, 04 13 dan 12. Kesimpulan RT 01 House Index dan House Index kategori tinggi, RT 02 : House Index dan House Index kategori kepadatan sedang , RT 04 :House Index kategori kepadatan sedang , House Index kategori tinggi., RT 05 : House Index dan House Index kategori sedang.
